How did Laser Kitten begin? Where did the idea for the name come from?
Laser Kitten started in 2007, as my side business, a laser cut jewelry line. I made shiny nameplate necklaces for people out of acrylic mirror and real gold or silver chains. The idea for the name came from laser cutting and internet culture. Even though I stopped making laser cut jewelry in 2013, I decided to keep the name for my new clothing and accessories line in 2015. I will reintroduce laser cut jewelry into the brand at some point, I still love it!
Where do you get all your inspo from?
Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, pop culture, the internet, instagram, music, shopping, vintage clothing, friends, family, traveling and the awesome girls I work with.
Brand highlight so far?
Finding out 90’s superstar Christina Aguilera is going to wear our pins on the Voice. She loves the Blanche pin.
