With a colourful hand drawn style Annabel has created Ink Sandwich, a unique paper goods brand that is good enough to eat! We caught up with Annabel about the company below...

How did Ink Sandwich come about?
Ink sandwich appeared when I had graduated, I wasn't sure what I was doing and money was tight working as a waitress so I started making my own cards for friends and family, (after applying for loads of illustration and fashion jobs) I really enjoyed doodling all day and I decided to see how far things could go working for myself!

How would you describe a Ink Sandwich customer?
As I've only been trading since October I'm still learning about my customer but people who buy my cards definitely appreciate something hand drawn that is colourful and fun!

What or who your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is probably someone like Anna Bond of Rifle Paper it's really inspiring to see how someone with such unique design can really lend their style to a whole range of products!

Ashkahn cards are amazing also- so funny and cool!

What’s your favourite piece in the current collection?
My favourite peice I currently sell is my valentines card or the Christmas jumper one. They are hand printed so a lot of time and effort went into making sure they looked just right!

What has been your greatest achievement so far?
I'm really proud of the fact that I've only been trading since October but I already have 5 stockists and lots of exciting things to look forward to in 2015!

If you were invisible for a day, you would…
Invisible? A very obvious choice but I'd definitely go raid WAH Nail's founder Sharmadean's wardrobe. She has so many cool outfits.

What’s next for Ink Sandwich?
I've just finished shooting my new collection which I'll be releasing next month. We also have some very exciting potential stockist meetings and a whole range of new products. Hopefully you will see me in Selfridges soon alongside Skinnydip!!
