Look magazine's Hannah Banks-Walker gives us the skinny on her LFW...

My favourite thing about London Fashion Week? The abundance of free food. I’m obviously (half) kidding but it’s safe to say that you don’t need to go hungry as you’re rushing between shows. I often go for breakfast at Damson & Co in Soho (which was ideal when the shows were at Brewer Street car park) or Shoreditch House, depending on where I am.

We’re lucky enough to have our own Hyundai cars to ferry us around, which feels particularly welcome by day three. It’s also quite depressing when fashion week ends and I have to return to the tube, naturally.

Obviously, the likes of Burberry, Roksanda, J.W.Anderson and Christopher Kane are always highlights but I also really look forward to Teatum Jones, Ryan Lo and Molly Goddard. I think one of the most exciting things about London is that the more established designers sit on the schedule alongside newer brands and it’s always great to discover new talent at Fashion East. I’m also really excited to see A.W.A.K.E this season, which is only 5 years old but already has such a distinctive style. It was founded by Natalia Alaverdian, who has an amazing take on tailoring and basically adds the most insane frills to classic pieces. I’m a sucker for a frill.

London also knows how to throw a good party- there’s always loads going on. It’s always a good excuse to catch up with people I haven’t seen for ages- I’ve got some friends in New York who always come over for the shows and it’s always nice to be able to see them between and after shows.
