After the huge success of New York Fashion Week (and our burning jealousy for not being there...wahh!), it was time to celebrate all things fashion, right here in SkinnyDip's hometown of London! Obviously, we had our eyes glued to all the fabulous accessories that hit the runway and we definitely got some serious inspo to jazz up our wardrobes for SS16! Every designers collection brought something fresh and dynamic to fashion but here our some of our favourites from our favourite week of the year! Time to cry, one whole year to go...

Anya Hindmarch

Of course, we are gonna start with the fabulous Anya Hindmarch, that has been the accessory queen since we can remember. We worship you! Anya is known for making the crazy, familiar and wearable. After her sell-out collection of leather, slogan stickers, we didn't think she could get any cooler. Then we watched her SS16 catwalk yesterday. She beautifully paid homage to the British high street, with her pieces symbolising some recognised, household names such as John Lewis and Nationwide. Although the idea is slightly bizarre, Anya proved, once again, that she can make the most mundane, absolutely prodigious. Each item in her collection was an adumbration showcasing that novelty fashion can be luxurious.

Anya didn't stop with the bags; the funky tags hanging off them were just as kitsch! She attached everything from pom poms to over sized foam cans to her accessories. Anya adores customization, allowing any individual who buys her products to make their purchase completely unique. Take a look at our trendy stickers to start decorating everything you own; remember too much is never enough!.

What we love so much about her collection is that every design detail matters and more importantly, it makes a strong statement! You go girl!

Sophia Webster

We couldn't write this post without mentioning the one and only, Sophia Webster. Her mermaid inspired show was right up our street!

The slender models strutted around the Mermaid Launderette, showcasing their glittery clutches and sparkling barnacled stilettos. Webster never strays from specific detail and she ensured the visuals of the show related directly to her products. The clip on the clutch bags looked like crafted underwater pearls and the texture of some of the cross body bags were specifically fabricated to resemble a mermaid's tail. Of course, her renowned slogans 'Beach Baby' and 'Naughty Cool' made an appearance and once again, kept in line with the nautical theme.

Here at SkinnyDip, our favourite piece (if we had to choose!) was the gold, glitter clutch. We think SS16 is gonna be full of transparent bags and Sophia Webster is definitely a pacesetter in the accessory world! Shop our range of clutches here!

Hill and Friends

Hill and Friends may be new to London Fashion Week but they certainly encapsulated the city this week! And this isn't a surprise; they were set up by former Mulberry creative director, Emma Hill.

Hill used bell boys to showcase her original collection, whilst the attendees sipped on strawberry shakes...yum! It was evident from the outset that Hill knew exactly how to add a colourful, fun twist to the traditional city bag. All the styles came in a variety of prints, textures and colours, making sure there was something for everyone.

We love Hill's wearable style! The fact she teared up at her first Fashion Week showcase AND brought two Shetland ponies onto the catwalk made us love her even more! What a babe! Hillandfriends.com opened for business immediately after show so now we can all have a proper browse of this incredible collection.

We could talk about so many more designers we adored at LFW but then we would be here till London Fashion Week 2016...yes we are already excited for next year!
