We love coordinating jewellery to our phone cases and clutch bags. From our bright/bold colourful products to our more opulent pieces we like how jewellery can enhance a look! A prime example of this is when one of our fave bloggers Lindsey Holland paired a Skinnydip case with REO Jewels, a nature inspired jewellery brand. If you havent heard of REO Jewels yet then we are happy to introduce! Rebecca Ellis Oynett is the designer/owner of the jewellery brand and is one to watch! Her timeless pieces are instinctively unique with a strong nod to taxidermy and we can't get enough! Each piece is individually made and has a classic but quirky feel. Oh, did we forget to mention REO has also created a range of taxidermy head dresses? They are incredible, like wearable art!

We caught up with the lovely REO below!

Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Rebecca ellis Onyett aka Reo Jewels! I am a london based jeweller and self-taught taxidermist.

How did you get into creating your own jewellery?
I always knew I wanted to be a designer and after experimenting with a lot of materials i soon realised metal was the one for me. I then went on to do a 3 year degree in silversmithing and goldsmithing and here i am today!

What influences your work?
The beautiful British countryside and animal anatomy.

How would you describe the space that you work in?
I work in the heart of London which is great as there is always a buzz around me with lots of things going on, inspiration and other creatives to keep you motivated.

How would you sum up a REO customer?
A rare breed, with an eye for something different, edgy and ultimately cool.

What is keeping you busy at the moment?
I am constantly kept busy by new orders, shows and replenishing stockists.

What has been the biggest highlight of the REO story so far?
The highlight for me was taking part in Treasure June 2013 at Somerset House as it was my first show and opened many doors for reo as a brand.

What is your most treasured possession?
A ring of a lions face that my mum bought me for my 21st Birthday. I never take it off and i think it brings me luck and courage to do anything.

What is your favourite piece from your current collection?
I love my leopard print skin ring as if i could be an animal i would definitely be a leopard because they are beautiful agile and solitary.

What piece of jewellery could you not live without?
My lion ring

Where do you see REO in the future?
I would love to open a shop in London selling REO along with other up and coming designers.

If you were invisible for a day you would...
Break into the jewellery room at the V&A try on all the jewels and place my Midas lips in one of the display windows to see how long it would take before people realized it wasn't suppose to be there.
