We are all self confessed jewellery magpies in the Skinnydip studio, from big bling to more delicate accessories there is a great mix jewellery lovers under one roof. One brand we all love at the moment is Delilah Dust. Set up at the end of 2011, the jewellery brand uses semi precious stones including gemstones and crystals at super affordable prices. Delilah Dust has a strong following and sells to customers all around the world. We caught up with the brains behind the brand and teamed up Delilah Dust's precious stones with our current Skinnydip collection. Check it out below!

Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Antonia Mackenzie and I run Delilah Dust, which specialises in gemstone and crystal jewellery. When setting up my business, I begun to study gemstones as I was so mesmerised by the beauty of some crystals, and gradually over time I was able to incorporate them into my jewellery collections.

What influences your work?
Raw uncut stones are the main influence of my work, its crazy to see such vibrant colours and shapes within the crystals that are completely natural! I feel that we take a lot of the earths natural beauty for granted, so being able to work with such beautiful stones is amazing.

How would you describe the space that you work in?
An organised mess! Our studio space is constantly overflowing, so it gets a little crowded when all the girls are trying to work on separate projects, such as production and packaging. Our storage shelves are just full of boxes of different gemstones, such as Amethyst and Crystal Quartz.

How would you sum up a Delilah Dust customer?
A crystal loving babe who supports our mission to source the best quality stones which are ethically produced!

What is keeping you busy at the moment?
We have some exciting things planned for this Summer, with some amazing new gemstone pieces and buying trips planned to some exotic locations to source some more unusual stone pieces. We’re planning to focus on a wider range of stones so there will be something for everyone.

What has been the biggest highlight of the Delilah Dust story so far?
My biggest highlight was being able to hire my first employee at the age of 18! While all my friends were heading off to uni to study, I was working from 8am-11pm most days on getting the website up and running. This was something I had been working on since I was 16, so to see my hard work paying off and allowing me to share my success with my employees, its been truly amazing.

Whats your favourite stone to date?
My favourite stone has got to be the lilac titanium druzys that I use - each strand of titanium druzy is different, so I’ve been able to create such unique pieces for customers, and they’ve been a hit. 

What is your favourite piece from your current collection?
My favourite piece from the current collection has to be the ‘Gold Edged Turquoise Slice Necklace’, as I just love how beautiful the stone looks with a gold accent. Our customer seem to love it too, I’m always frantically trying to source more stones!

If you were invisible for a day you would...
Probably visit the beach to relax! I find it hard to switch off from working, so just to have one day to myself where I know I won’t be disturbed would be perfect. Running a business, theres always something to do or somebody needing to ask something, even when I’m on holiday I’m constantly checking my phone to ensure every things running smoothly back home in the studio.
